TIFFIN, Ohio. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field team competed at the Tiffin Track Carnival hosted by Heidelberg University inside Frost-Kalnow Stadium.
BW individual events highlights included:
- Freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) placed second in the 800-meter run in 2:02.18 and finished 11th in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:05.19.
- Junior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.14 seconds.
- Sophomore Desmond Manley (Akron / St. Vincent-St. Mary) placed 19th in the 400-meter dash in 51.62 seconds and 48th in 200-meter dash in 23.37 seconds.
- Sophomore Mason Birkbeck (Wadsworth) placed 65th in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.64 seconds.
- Sophomore Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School) finished third in the 1500-meter run in 4:17.64 and placed 44th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.50
- Sophomore Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed ninth in the 3000-meter steeple chase with a time of 10:09.09
- Freshmen Joe Kelly (Lakewood) placed 55th in the 5000-meter run in a time of 16:32.06
- Sophomore Matt Perry (Mentor) placed 18th in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 35:45.25.
Field events highlighted:
- Senior Jake Mantle (North Royalton) placed 35th in hammer throw with a distance 42.45m.
- Sophomore Joe Barnes (West Plains, Mo.) placed 27th in discus throw with a distance of 39.86
- Freshmen All-OAC Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) placed 14th in shot put with a distance of 13.72m.
- Sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) finished 13th in high jump with a height of 1.80m.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 23rd when it hosts the 52nd Sparky Adams Invitational inside George Finnie Stadium.
