Men's Indoor Track and Field Finishes in Sixth Place at the OAC Championships

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field placed sixth with 22 points at the OAC Championships hosted by Mount Union inside Peterson Fieldhouse. Host, Mount Union wins with a total of 240.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior All-OAC ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) won the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.28 seconds, earning his first career All-OAC honors. 
  • Sophomore All-OAC Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) placed 13th in the one-mile in a time of 4:34.62 and 20th in the 100. 
  • Freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) placed eighth in the 800m in a time of 1:59.60. 
  • Sophomore Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed 20th in the 3000m in a time of 9:08.82. 

Field event highlights:

  • Clark placed 11th in high jump with a height of 1.80m. 
  • Freshmen Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) placed third in shot put with a distance of 14.58m, earning his first career All-OAC honors. 

On the relay side:

  • The 4x200 relay squad of sophomore Desmond Manley (Akron / St. Vincent-St. Mary), sophomore Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School), freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) and junior Nick Dancani (Toledo / Springfield) placed eighth in a time of 1:42.54. 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, March 5th when the team splits to attend two different meets. Polar Bear Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern and Tufts National Qualifying Meet hosted by Tufts University.
