Men's Indoor Track and Field Host Mid-February Meet

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field hosted their last indoor meet for the season, Mid-February Meet, on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. Scores were unavailable.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) won the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 7.81.
  • Sophomore Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) placed fourth in the one mile with a time of 4:32.52.
  • Sophomore Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School) placed seventh in the 1000m with a time of 5:52.20
  • Freshman Alex Yarian (East Canton) finished seventh in the 3000m in a time of 9:41.27.
  • Sophomore Desmond Manley (Akron / St. Vincent-St. Mary) finished fifth in the 400m in a time of 53.32

Field events highlighted:

  • Sophomore John Haberman (Hamburg, N.Y. / Hamburg) placed sixth in weight throw with a distance of 13.47m.
  • Freshman Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) placed sixth in shot put with a distance of 12.88m.

On the relay side:

  • The 4x400 meter relay squad of junior Lucas Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y. / Sutherland) , Freshmen Joe Kelly (Lakewood), sophomore Matt Perry (Mentor) and senior Zach Riggins (Wexford, Pa. / Pine-Richland) finished fifth with a time of 4:04.71.

BW will compete next at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, February 12, hosted by Otterbein University inside the Clements Recreation Center.
