Men's Track and Field Competes at Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) Invitational

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field team competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational inside Gesling Stadium. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included: 

  • Junior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.22 seconds. 
  • Sophomore Desmond Manley (Akron / St. Vincent-St. Mary) finished in 14th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.30 seconds and 16th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 54.32 seconds. 
  • Sophomore Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School) placed 34th in the 800-meter in a time of 2:09.77
  • Freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) placed 16th in the 1500-meter in a time of 4:08.37. 
  • Sophomore Carter Almady (Brunswick) finished in 15th in the 5000-meter in a time of 15:59.36.

Field events highlighted:

  • Sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) placed third in high jump with a height of 1.81m. 
  • Senior Jake Mantle (North Royalton) placed ninth in hammer throw with a distance of 43.56m. 
  • Sophomore Joe Barnes (West Plains, Mo.) finsihed in ninth in javelin throw with a distance of 44.56m. 
  • Clark placed 8th in the long jump with a distance of 6.10m. 
  • Freshman Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) placed seventh in shot put with a distance of 14.10m.
