Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at All-Ohio Indoor Championships With 13th Place Finish

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed in the All-Ohio Indoor Championships, hosted by Otterbein University in the Clements Recreation Center. 

BW placed 13th out of 18 participating teams with 10 points. Fellow Ohio Athletic Conference member University of Mount Union won the meet with 186.5 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Junior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) was the All-Ohio 60-meter hurdles champion with a time of 8.36 and placed 11th in the high jump for height of 1.77m.
  • Sophomore Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed ninth the 5000m with a time of 15:36.84.
  • Freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) placed 11th in the 800-meter dash in a time of 2:01.15. 

Field events highlighted:

  •  Freshmen Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) placed 16th in shot put with a distance of 13.01m.

On the relay side:

  • The 4x400 meter relay squad of Clark, Sophomore Desmond Manley (Akron / St. Vincent-St. Mary), sophomore Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) and Foody finished ninth with a time of 3:43.06.

 BW returns to the track on Friday, February 18 when it travels to Cleveland to compete in the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve in the Veale Center Fieldhouse at 2:00 p.m.
