BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) placed 12th in the weight throw at the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet, hosted by Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) College at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Dysert finished 12th with a throw of 58 feet, 8 inches. He had a season-best and career-best throw of 60'2" at the 2018 OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, which was the 13th-longest mark in NCAA Division III this season and earned him a trip to nationals. This season, he earned his second straight United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region accolade and his first All-OAC honor in the weight throw. This was Dysert's first appearance at a national meet.

Dysert and his Yellow Jacket teammates will begin the outdoor portion of the 2018 season on Saturday, March 17, at the Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology Early Bird Meet at 12:30 p.m. at the William Welch Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana.
