AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has been named OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

Dysert earns his first weekly honor after winning the weight throw at the Hillsdale "Wide Track" Classic, hosted by Hillsdale (Mich.) College. He had a career-best mark of 59 feet, 2.75 inches, which currently ranks as the 12th best throw in Division III this season.

As a junior in 2017, Dysert earned Indoor All-Ohio honors and Indoor United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lake honors in the weight throw. Dysert and the Yellow Jackets will return to Berea to host the Mid-February Meet on Friday, February 9, on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. BW will then travel to Westerville on Saturday, February 10, to compete in the All-Ohio Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Otterbein University.
