Beidleman and Burdorff Named CoSIDA All-District 7 in Track and Field

BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time Academic All-American and All-American sprinter Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C./St. Anselm's Abbey) and senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and three-time NCAA national qualifier thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 track and field and cross country team.  Beidleman and Burdorff now qualify for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

Beidelman, a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, earns his third consecutive All-District 7 honor.  He carried a 3.95 grade point average in accounting. Beidleman graduated this spring Summa Cum Laude.   He is a Dean's List Student and Jacket Scholar.   Beidleman is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.  He is the school-record holder in the indoor 200-meter dash with a time of 22.64 seconds. He is the two-time defending OAC Champion in the outdoor 200-meter dash.

Burdorff, who is competing this week in his third straight NCAA Championships, garners his first career All-District 7 accolade.  He carried a 3.42 grade point average in exercise science and pre-physical therapy.   Burdorff is a three-time OAC outdoor champion, a five-time outdoor All-OAC performer and was the 2016 OAC Sparky Adams Most Outstanding Outdoor Field Athlete. He earned his first indoor All-American accolade as he was the runner-up in the weight throw at this year's indoor championships.  He was also the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Great Lakes Regional Indoor Field Athlete of the Year and a two-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region indoor performer.
