HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team started off their annual Spring Break Trip in Hilton Head, S.C. with a win over Gordon (Mass.) College by a final score of 6-3 on the Chaplin Park Tennis Courts.
Doubles (BW, 2-1)
- No. 1: BW's (6-0) Freshman Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and junior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) won 8-3
- No. 2: Gordon's (0-3) John Marineau and Nathan Gonzalez won 8-7 (7-4)
- No. 3: Freshmen Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay) won 8-3
Singles (BW, 6-3)
- No. 1: Ezekiel Hall won 7-6, 6-0
- No. 2: Kernan won the clinching match 6-2, 6-3
- No. 3: Hicks won 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7)
- No. 4: Alex Ryzi won 6-2, 6-4
- No. 5: Zeidler won 6-2, 6-1
- No. 6: Freshman Jack Hindman (Avon) won 6-0, 6-0
The Yellow Jackets return to the courts on Monday, March 7 when the team plays a non-conference game against Roanoke (Va.) College at the Shipyard Racquet Club at 11:30 a.m.
