Harris Named OAC Player of the Year, Ganim Tabbed as All-OAC

BEREA, Ohio – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes, junior number-one singles and doubles player Peter Harris (Akron / Richfield Revere) and junior No.2 singles and No.1 doubles player Doug Ganim (Westerville / Olantangy Orange), have been named to the 2015 All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's tennis team. Harris also was chosen as the 2015 OAC Player of the Year. Both are also outstanding students.

The All-OAC honor for Harris is his third straight, including second on the first-team. He is the fifth Yellow Jacket to be named as the OAC Player of the Year. Entering his senior season, Harris will have a chance to become just the third BW player to win that award twice.  For Ganim, this was his second consecutive year earning All-OAC honors, including his first time on the All-OAC first-team. 

Harris is a business administration major who carries a 3.303 grade point average and is a Dean's List student.  This season, Harris posted a 20-5 singles record and combined with Ganim for a 22-4 mark at No. 1 doubles. Harris now stands 13th in program history with a 64-14 singles record. In doubles, he and Ganim rank in a tie for 11th all-time with a 65-18 record.

Ganim is a business administration and finance major who carries a 3.753 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. The 2014 Academic All-OAC student-athlete posted a 19-5 record at No. 2 singles this season and earned OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 10, 2015. Ganim sits tied at No. 15 in program history with a 61-15 singles mark and joins Harris with a 65-18 doubles slate to tie for 11th all-time.

This season, Harris and Ganim led the BW men to a 15-6 record and marked the 14th straight season that the Yellow Jackets have posted 15 or more vicrories in a season. The duo have helped BW to a 57-21 mark the past three seasons, including a 23-1 slate as freshmen.
