BW, who won their second straight meet and first OAC meet, defeated Manchester by a final score of 183-73.
The Yellow Jackets were led by junior All-American stroker Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) as he won three events. Thompson captured the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 27.37 seconds, the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:17.05 and the 100-yard individual medley in a career-best time of 56.33.
Earning two victories were senior All-OAC performer Jacob Burk (Bowling Green), freshman freestyler Matthew Bartek (Amherst/Marion Steele) and freshman freestyler Greg Shaw (Colorado Springs, Colo./Manitou Springs) as each won two events. Burk took the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:11.33 and the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:39.98. Bartek touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke with career-best times of 1:54.51 and 2:00.91, respectively. Shaw won the 50-yard butterfly in a career-best time of 24.62 and the 200-yard butterfly in a career-best time of 2:07.80
Also earning a single victory were senior diver Jon Levin (Olmsted Falls) and sophomore freestyler Tyler Allison (Napoleon). Levin won the 1-meter optional with 148.40 points.
Allison won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.42.
In relay action, the 200-yard medley relay team of Allison, Thompson, Shaw and sophomore freestyler John Beyer (Columbus/Centennial) won in a time of 1:41.88. The 200-yard freestyle team of freshman freestyler Marcus Campbell (East Liverpool), senior Tyler Elgart (Shaker Heights), freshman Evan Rinaldi (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights) and sophomore James Philbrick (Mundelein, Ill.) won in a time of 1:49.32.
BW is back in action on Saturday, November 12 as it remains at home and hosts a non-conference dual meet against Penn State Behrend College in the BW Natatorium at 1 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets close out their four meet homestand on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. The teams first host a non-conference meet against Hiram College on Friday at 6 p.m. then close out the weekend with an OAC meet against the University of Mount Union on Saturday at 1 p.m.
