BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University sophomore freestyler Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/ Nordonia) has been selected as this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Male Swimmer-of-the-Week.
Gerber, who earns his first weekly honor, won two events individually and swam on the winning 200-yard medley relay team against John Carroll. He won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:03.63 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:05.53. Gerber was joined on the winning relay team by freshmen Charles Peppers (Circleville) and Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill./ Hinsdale South) and sophomore Ronny Woodburn (Ashtabula/Edgewood).
The Yellow Jacket men and women compete in their final home meet of the season this Friday, February 1 versus cross-town and nonleague rival Case Western Reserve University in the BW Natatorium at 6:00 p.m.
