Men's Soccer Defeats Waynesburg (Pa.) in Non-Conference Match

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team defeated Waynesburg (Pa.) University in a non-conference game by a final score of 4-1 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (3-3-1)

  • Freshman forward Alex Horak (Ravenna / Roosevelt) made the third goal of his collegiate career.
  • Senior forward Michael Tusick (Strongsville) scored two unassisted goals in the second period.

Waynesburg Leaders (3-2)

  • Junior goalkeeper Michael Francus made 14 saves on 18 shots.
  • Senior midfielder Tyler Mohrbacher made an unassisted goal in the second period.

First Half

  • Sophomore midfielder Owen Reyes (North Olmsted) made the first goal of the game.
  • BW outshot Waynesburg 11-2.
  • Sophomore forward Mike Kane (Kent / Hudson) made an assist.

Second Half

  • BW outshot Waynesburg 18-3.
  • Waynesburg made nine saves.
  • BW won the corner kick battle 4-2.

BW closes out its five-game homestand on Wednesday, Sept. 20 when it hosts a non-conference game against The College of Wooster at 7 p.m.
