Men’s Soccer Ends Season, Drops Regular Season Finale to Capital

BEXLEY, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team ended its 2023 season as it fell to Capital University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 4-0 on Purmort Field inside Bernlohr Stadium.

BW Leaders (7-10-2, 3-5-1 OAC) 
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Sam Cipriano (Massillon / Jackson) recorded seven saves
  • Sophomore midfielder Owen Reyes (North Olmsted) made four shots with three on goal
Capital Leaders (10-6-1, 4-4-1 OAC)
  • Senior midfielder Jack Kossoudji scored the first goal of the game
  • Senior midfielder Mujahid Abdel-Ghani provided two assists
 First Half 
  • Capital won the corner kick battle by a 4-1 margin
  • BW and Capital each had nine shots
  • The Yellow Jackets made five saves
 Second Half  
  • BW outshot Capital 16-6
  • Capital and BW recorded three saves each
  • The Yellow Jackets made two corners on Capital's one

Capital (10-6-1, 4-4-1 OAC) will enter the OAC Tournament as the fifth seed for an OAC Tournament quarterfinal game on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. BW (7-10-2, 3-5-1 OAC) closes out its season.
