MARIETTA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team misses the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament as they dropped the regular season finale to Marietta College by a final score of 3-1 on Marietta Field.

Marietta (7-2, 7-2 OAC) started the game placing a lot of pressure on the BW (3-4-2, 3-4-2 OAC) defense. The Pioneers won the first half scoring three unanswered goals coming by the way of freshman midfielder Reggie Grayek, a penalty kick goal from senior attacker Robert Phillips, and the last goal came from junior attacker Evan Taylor 31:29 into the first half. The Yellow Jackets attack got going at the end of the half as they took two shots. The first half ended with Marietta leading 3-0.

The BW attack kept the momentum going as they got on the board first in the second half. Junior midfielder Dylan Keeling (Rocky River) ripped a penalty shot past the keeper to trim the Pioneers lead down to 3-1. The Yellow Jackets kept the pressure on putting up eight additional shots but couldn't find the back of the net. The Yellow Jackets outshot Marietta 11-3 in the final half.

In net for BW, sophomore goalkeeper JT Brenneman (Willoughby/Wickliffe) recorded six saves on the 17 shots he faced.
