Two Men's Soccer Players Named Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Academic All-Ohio

BEREA, OHIO -- Senior midfielder Jeff Grater (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) and sophomore Pat Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) have been selected as first-team Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) Academic All-Ohio team.

Grater, an accounting major who carries a 3.92 grade point average, finished his career in the Brown & Gold as a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes Region and three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) selection, including being named the 2010 OAC Midfielder of the Year. Grater is also a two-time Academic All-OAC selection and a two-time first-team ESPN Academic All-District IV player.  In addition, he was selected to NSCAA Senior College Men's Scholar All-America Team.and was the Most Valuable Player at this season's SUNY-Fredonia (N.Y.) Tournament and led BW to a team title.

After transferring from Calvin (Mich.) College, Grater appeared in 62 games while tallying seven goals and five assists for 19 points.  He had a career-best three goals and three assists last season.  Grater also recorded 98 shots of which 38 of them were on goal.  Grater is a Dean's List student, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and is a Jacket Scholar.

Brennan, an accounting major with a 3.79 grade point average, was selected second-team All-OAC as well as first-team ESPN Academic All-District IV player this season.  He had his best season as a collegian this season as he notched a career-high eight goals and added three assists to rank second on the team with a career-best 19 points.  Brennan will enter his junior season with 12 goals, including three game winners, and nine assists for 33 career points scored.  He is a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society.
