Men’s Lacrosse Cruises Past Southern Virginia

BEREA, Oh – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team defeated Southern Virginia University in a non-conference matchup by a final score of 10-4 on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (3-1)

• Senior attacker Olin Ferguson (Tulsa, Okla./Booker T. Washington) led the Yellow Jackets with four goals and one assist.
• Junior attacker Rhys Leach (Canton/GlenOak) added two goals to the scoreboard for BW.
• Senior goalkeeper Joe Storner (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) recorded 17 saves on the 21 shots he faced. 

SVU Leaders (0-4)

• Southern Virginia was led by Clay Haacke who tallied two goals.
• Caleb Brodie made 17 saves on 26 shots. 

1^st Quarter

• 13:32 – The Yellow Jackets got on the board first with a goal from Ferguson.
• 9:40 -   A goal by junior All-OAC attacker Jake Nanosky (Medina) extended the BW lead. 

2^nd Quarter

• 13:27 – Yellow Jacket goal by senior All-American midfielder Jonas Aquilla (Westlake/St. Edward)
• 9:20 – Leach goal for BW, assisted by Ferguson.
• 2:33 – BW goal by Ferguson, assisted by freshman attacker Jake Koonmen (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport)
