Men’s Lacrosse Takes Down Wilmington, Remains Undefeated in the OAC

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team traveled to Wilmington College to take on the Quakers in an Ohio Athletic Conference match on Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium. The Yellow Jackets claimed victory by a final score of 34-2, with goals from 18 players. BW remains undefeated in the OAC. 

BW Leaders (12-3, 8-0 OAC)

  • The 34 goals scored by the Yellow Jackets tied the school record for most goals in a game.
  • Junior All-OAC attacker Kyler Byerly (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) led with five goals and five assists. 
  • Senior midfielder Eric Bechtel (Westlake) followed up with four goals.
  • Junior midfielder Olin Ferguson (Tulsa, Okla./Booker T. Washington) contributed three goals. 
  • Sophomore goalie Samuel LoPiccolo (Mason/William Mason) led with two saves. 

Wilmington Leaders (2-14, 0-8 OAC)

  • Senior attacker Austin Young and junior attacker Reed Beavers recorded one goal each.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Cody Everly had 19 saves. 

1st Quarter (BW 15-0)
