Two Men’s Lacrosse Players Tabbed as USILA All-Americans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse athletes were named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-Americans. This marks the third and fourth All-Americans in program history and first since 2019.

Junior short stick defensive midfielder Jonas Aquilla (Westlake/St. Edward) and junior defender Neil Randall (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Palos Verdes) were both named as USILA All-American honorable mentions. 

Aquilla, earns All-American honors after being named to the preseason All-American roster. This marks the first All-American honors of his career. Aquilla also earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference first team honors this season. Aquilla appeared in all 18 games and scored a career-best 15 goals was fourth on the team with a career-best eight assists for a career-best 23 points. On the defensive end, he was third on the team with a career-best 45 ground balls and he was fourth on the team with a career-best 19 caused turnovers. 

Randall also earns his first All-American honors after being named the OAC Defensive Player of the Year and getting All-OAC first team honors. Randall earns the honors after being fourth in the NCAA and setting the program record with 61 caused turnovers on the season. He appeared in and started all 18 games and scored a career-best two goals with a career-best two assists for a career-best four points. On the defensive end, he also was second on the team with 65 ground balls and tied for fourth on the team with one faceoff win. 

John Carroll University was the only other OAC school represented with one USILA All-American honorable mention.

BW finished the season as OAC Regular Season Champions with a 14-4 overall record and a 9-0 mark in the OAC.
