Steinwachs Garners First Career OAC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) has been selected as the OAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. 

Steinwachs garners his first career weekly honor after leading BW to its fifth straight OAC opening victory with a 29-4 defeat of Muskingum University last Friday night. He scored four goals and added a school-record tying seven assists for a school-record tying and career-high 11 points. 

This season, Steinwachs leads the team in points with 35 and assists with 18. He is second on the squad in goals with 17 and ground balls with 24.

For his career, Steinwachs has appeared in 39 games with 23 starts. He has recorded 67 goals and 49 assists for 116 points. Steinwachs is just the third player in school-history to record 100 or more career points.  He has also tallied 71 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Friday, March 30 when they host an OAC game against Wilmington College on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 1 p.m.
