ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference game against the University of Mount Union by a final score 10-5 at Mount Union Stadium.
BW (6-6, 1-3 OAC) has now lost three straight games. Mount Union (12-3, 4-0 OAC) has now won 11 straight games and leads the OAC standings.
The Yellow Jackets were led by freshmen midfielders Joey Briski (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Pine-Richland) with two goals. Sophomore attack Vinny Carson (Cleveland/Benedictine) and freshmen midfielders Shane Rakich (Dublin /Olentangy Liberty) and Jarrod Gilliam(Lewis Center /Olentangy Orange) each tallied a goal. The Purple Raiders were led by Toren Moore with three goals and an assist while Josh Stephens contributed two.
Mount Union scored the first three goals of the opening period before Briski scored the man-up goal for BW off the assist from freshman attack Devon Henry (Avon Lake) to cut the lead down to 3-1 at the 1:45 mark.
The Purple Raiders scored four unanswered in the second period to take a 7-1 lead at the intermission.
Mount Union opened up the second half scoring by tacking on three more goals to push the lead to 10-1 lead. The Yellow Jackets scored their second goal of the game and cut the lead down to 10-2 when Rakich with 5:35 remaining.
BW scored the final three goals of the game and period when Gilliam, Briskiand Carson all found the back of the net with the last coming with 17 seconds left.

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 26 when it hosts Capital University in the final game of the regular season and on Seniors' & Parents' Day at The George Finnie Stadium at 8 p.m.
