Clark Medalist - Men's Golf Placed Second at Mount Union Fall Invitational

ALLIANCE, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team were runners up at the annual University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.

BW finished second of eight teams with a total of 604 strokes on the par-72 and 6,694-yard Tannenhauf layout. Malone University took first with 598 strokes.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference golfer Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) as was first of 75 golfers for the second invitational this season. Clark posted rounds of 71 and a 73 for an invitational total of 144. Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Logan Bratsch (Olmsted Falls) tied for fifth as he fired rounds of 74 and 75 for a two-day total of 149. Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Henry Neumann (Broadview Heights / Padua Franciscan) tied for 14th and carded rounds of 76 and 77 for a two-round total of 153. Sophomore Ryan Green (Conneaut / Edgewood) posted two rounds of 79 and an invitational total of 158. Rounding out the top five was freshman Christian Miller (North Lawrence / Tuslaw) as he had rounds of 82 and 85 for a total of 167.

Playing as individuals were sophomore Alex Baker (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills), freshmen Trevor Mackey (Brunswick), freshmen Logan Cook (Berea / Berea-Midpark), and senior Will Scurci (Mars, Pa. / Mars Area). Baker led the individuals with rounds of 86 and 83 for a two-day total of 169.  Mackey tallied rounds of 85 and 91 for a two-round total of 176. Cook had rounds of 86 and 98 for a total of 184. Scurci posted rounds of 90 and 96 for a total of 189. 

BW is back in action on Monday, September 27th when it travels to Shaker Heights to play at the John DiCillo Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at Shaker Country Club.
