Ethan Nichol enters his second season as co-defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, linebackers coach and academic coordinator at Baldwin Wallace University in 2023.
Nichol comes to BW after serving as the linebackers coach at NCAA Division I University of Wyoming for two seasons.
While at Wyoming, Nichol mentored three All-Western Athletic Conference selections and one All-American. His linebackers ranked first and second in the WAC in tackles during his two seasons.
Prior to Wyoming he served as a linebackers coach and cornerbacks coach for four seasons at Heidelberg University. During his tenure, Nichol coached six All-Ohio Athletic Conference players and his linebacking unit had two players that ranked first, second or third in the conference.
Nichol earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from The College of Wooster in 2016. He then earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Heidelberg in 2018 and an Instructional Technology Certificate from Wyoming in 2021. While at Wooster, Nichol played four seasons of football, was a three-time Academic All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection and a National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society member during his senior season.
