Zimmerman Earns Second Career OAC Baseball Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference baseball infielder/pitcher Mark Zimmerman (Akron/Green) has been selected as the OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Zimmerman, who earns his second career OAC Baseball Hitter of the Week honor, batted .556 at the plate and had a win as a starting pitcher as the Yellow Jackets posted a 3-2 record.

At the plate, he was 10-for-18 (.556) with a double, triple, six runs batted-in (RBIs) and eight runs scored. On the mound, Zimmerman improved to 2-0 as he pitched six innings versus No.22-ranked Marietta College as he allowed two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts.

The baseball team is back in action on Tuesday, March 31 when it travels to Cleveland for a non-conference game with cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University at Nobby's Ballpark.   First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
