As if the Baldwin Wallace women’s lacrosse team didn’t have enough scorers, along came Green High School graduate Hannah Albrechta.

The 5-foot-8 attack finished second among the Yellow Jackets with 64 points. Albrechta (Green) had 48 goals and 16 assists this season, which ended with an OAC tournament semifinal loss to Mount Union on Wednesday. She’s on a team with six players with 41 points or more including four with 56 or more. Her goals have come in bunches, having scored four or more in seven games including six goals and two assists in a 19-5 victory over Muskingum. She also had five goals in a 21-2 triumph over Wilmington last Saturday.

“Hannah has been a huge addition this year,” coach Kim Russell said. “She has learned that many of the moves that brought her success in high school don’t work against the better college teams.”

The coach feels that Albrechta has become a more complete player.

“Hannah has added new shots to her repertoire, has learned new ways to take and win the draw and re-defending,” Russell said. “She has started every game and she has an eye for the net.”
