KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's soccer have been recognized as a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.

BW was one of total of 746 soccer teams (220 men, 382 women) that posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Yellow Jackets were also one of total 131 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

Under the direction of head coach Reid Ayers, the men's team finished the 2021-22 academic year with a 3.52 grade point average. While the women's team, managed by head coach Jim Wojtkun also carried a 3.52 grade point average for the 2021-22 academic year.

The BW men open the 2022 campaign on September 1 when it travels to nearby Wooster for a non-conference game against The College of Wooster.  The first home contest is on September 3 with a non-conference game against Chatham (Pa.) University.  The Ohio Athletic Conference schedule begins at home on October 1 against Marietta College.

The Yellow Jacket women open their 2022 season on September 2 and 3 at the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament hosted by Penn State Behrend College.  The Yellow Jackets play their first home contest on September 9 when they host crosstown rival Case Western Reserve University.   The OAC schedule begins on October 9 with a road game against Marietta College.
