Bowling Named Athletics Equipment Manager

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Director of Athletics Steve Thompson has announced the hiring of Luke Bowling as the athletics equipment manager.

"We are thrilled to have Luke join the BW Athletics Department and family," stated Thompson.  "Luke brings a wide variety of experience and knows the importance the equipment manager plays in the success of all our Yellow Jacket programs.  We look forward to him helping our programs standout in Division III."

Bowling comes to BW after serving as an English teacher and baseball, football and strength and conditioning coach in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools located in Annapolis, Maryland.  He taught four years at South River High School and two years at Crofton Middle School. In addition, Bowling served as an assistant baseball coach at the Crofton High School and was the assistant football coach at South River where he was the offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and a wide receivers coach. Bowling also was the strength and condition coach at South River for football and lacrosse.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Baldwin Wallace athletics, said Bowling. "I'm looking forward to working with all of the teams, coaches and student-athletes." 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wittenberg University.  While at Wittenberg, Bowling played three years of football and appeared in 24 varsity games.  He caught 82 passes for 863 yards with six touchdowns.
