Russelburg Named Track and Field Throws Coach

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's and wome's track and field head coach Jordan Hill '09 has announced the addition to the coaching staff, Bradley Russelburg as the throws coach.

Russelburg comes to BW after serving as throws coach graduate assistant from Heidelberg University. While at Heidelberg, he was in charge of creating a strength and conditioning program for the throws group, created and conducted pre and post season measurable tests such as the one repetition max and Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and was responsible for recruiting the class of 2021, 2022 and 2023 highschool throwers.

"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Russelburg to BW and to the program. An accomplished thrower within the OAC himself, Coach Russelburg is already proving to be a talented and driven young coach." Hill said "Along with fresh recruiting strategies, his knowledge and background of strength and conditioning is something the entire team will benefit from. We are already finding that his energy matches that of our team's and is a tremendous addition to our staff and to BW."

He was a part of the Heidelberg coaching staff the past two seasons before he joined the Yellow Jackets staff. Before joining Heidelberg, Russelburg was apart of the Ohio Northern Club Powerlifting Team.

"I am so unbelievably excited to work with this group of athletes alongside such an amazing staff. The throws program has such a rich history of success and I am honored to take the helm and add to the tradition." Russelburg said. 

Russelburg earned his bachelor's degree in exercise physiology at Ohio Northern University and will be graduating with a master's in business administration from Heidelberg University expected in May of 2022.

The Yellow Jackets open the 2022 indoor season on Saturday, January 22 when they travel to Westerville to compete in the Otterbein University Invitational inside the Clements Recreation Center at 11 a.m.
