Men's and Women's Track and Field Compete at NCAA "Last Chance" Meet

ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace men's and women's outdoor track and field team compete at NCAA "Last Chance" meet, the Mount Union Last Chance Meet inside Mount Union Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included: 

  • Junior Academic All-OAC selection Maddie Miller (Medina) placed eighth in the women's 3000-meter Steeplechase in a time of 13:03.35.
  • Freshmen Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished ninth in the men's 1500-meter run in 4:28.91. 
  • Junior ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) finished second in the men's 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.77 seconds.
  • Freshmen Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) placed fifth in the women's 400-meter dash in 1:00.87. 

Field events highlighted:

  • Sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) finished fifth in men's high jump with a height of 6' 2¼". 
  • Junior All-OAC Abby Rodriguez (Grandview, Wash. / Prosser) finished third in women's shot put with a distance of 41' 7¼" 
  • Freshmen All-OAC Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) placed sixth in men's shot put with a distance of 48' 2" and ninth in men's discus throw with a mark of 46' 1¼" and 
  • Sophomore Joe Barnes (West Plains, Mo.) placed fifth in men's javelin throw with a distance of 154' 10"

The Yellow Jackets will now wait and see which athletes qualify to the 2022 NCAA Outdoor National Championships, hosted Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 26-28 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
