Knopp and McMonagle Join Athletic Training Staff

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Athletic Trainer Tricia Hamad '99 has announced the additions of Hannah Knopp and Justin McMonagle as assistant athletic trainers.

Knopp will be the athletic trainer for golf, tennis, women's volleyball and wrestling.  She comes to BW after serving as an athletic training fellow for the men's cross country, men's tennis, women's cross country and women's track and field teams at Florida Atlantic University for one season.  Prior to Florida Atlantic, Knopp was an assistant athletic training fellow for one season with the men's and women's cross country teams at the University of Memphis (Tenn.).  In addition, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Northwestern State (La.) University for the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams.  Knopp earned a Bachelor of Arts in athletic training and health and fitness from Muskingum University and a Master of Science in health and human performance from Northwestern State.  She is a member of the National Athletic Training Association.

McMonagle will handle the athletic training duties for varsity football and women's basketball.  He comes the Berea after serving as the athletic trainer at The PT Center for two years.  Prior to the PT Center, McMonagle was an athletic training summer intern for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League in 2019.  In addition, he was the head athletic trainer for the Erie Commodores FC of the National Premier Soccer League during the 2018 season. McMonagle also was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for football, men's lacrosse, women's field hockey and women's water polo at Mercyhurst (Pa.) University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Kent State University and Master of Science in organizational leadership from Mercyhurst. McMonagle is a member of the National Athletic Training Association.
