Erin Madden Joins BW Athletic Communications Staff

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Sports and Media Information Director Jeff Miller '96 has announced that Erin Madden will join the Office of Athletic Communications as an Athletic Communications Assistant for the 2017-18 season and will begin her duties on August 1.

Madden will serve as the primary contact for the Yellow Jacket baseball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, women's basketball and women's lacrosse. She will also assist with the other 10 Yellow Jacket teams.

Madden, a native of Parma Heights, Ohio, comes to BW after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts from Franciscan University of Steubenville.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude in just three years and carried a 3.85 grade point average.  Madden was a Dean's List student every semester.

While at Franciscan, she was worked in the Office of Sports Information for two years and served a lead writer as a senior and was a major contributor to the athletics newsletter.  Madden worked closely with the Baron basketball, tennis, volleyball and women's lacrosse teams.  She also assisted with the other 10 collegiate teams. Outside of the sports information office, Madden was the sports editor for the University's newspaper for a year and half and was sports writer during her time as an undergrad. 

She is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Northcoast Spirit TEC and the Holy Family Catholic Church youth ministry program.

Madden, a graduate of Padua Franciscan High School, resides in Parma Heights.
