BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University is proud to announce it has nine new inductees to its Alumni Athletic Association Hall of Fame. The nine will be formally inducted into the hall on Friday, October 6 at a dinner that kicks off Homecoming weekend at BW. The group also will be introduced to the Homecoming crowd prior to BW's 2 p.m. kickoff versus Wilmington College on Saturday, Oct. 7 at The George Finnie Stadium.

The nine new members are Tori Davis '08 (men's basketball), Joe George '06 (football), Kim Luthman Jones '01, '05 MAEd (women's basketball), Angie Camp Kalizewski '07 (volleyball), Bryan Kmetz '07 (wrestling), Louie Rolko '07 (men's soccer), Dave Rozzo '89 (baseball), Jason Schefft '02 (men's basketball) and Andrea Isaac Zak '08 (women's tennis).

TORI DAVIS '08 is arguably the best men's basketball player to ever step on the Ursprung Gymnasium court. He is the all-time leading scorer in school history and seventh all-time in OAC history with 2,232 points. He also ranks fifth all-time in OAC history in rebounding with 950 and is first in shots blocked with 242. Davis additionally set numerous single-game, single-season and career records both at BW and in the OAC. He led BW to an 81-31 record with a .723 winning percentage. Davis helped BW win one OAC regular season and two OAC Tournament titles and earn two berths into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. He was the winner of the 2007 Kenneth F. Steingass Most Outstanding Male Athlete award. Davis also was a four-time All-OAC and three-time Division III All-Great Lakes Region selection, the OAC Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007 and Great Lakes Region Player of the Year in 2006, a Division III All-American and the Division III Player of the Year (DIII News) in 2006. He also was a preseason All-American in 2006 and 2007, and named to the d3hoops.com All-Decade Team (1998-2007). Today, Davis is a member of the U.S. military (Army).
JOE GEORGE '06 is one of the best middle linebackers in Yellow Jacket history, and is just one of two players in school history to have back-to-back 100-tackle seasons (the other is current Hall of Famer Kert Boedicker '84). He was a poster child for the student-athlete philosophy, as he was selected as a 2005 Division III All-American by the "Football Gazette" All-American Committee and was both the Kenneth Steingass Most Outstanding Male Athlete and the Clyde Lamb Outstanding Student-Athlete award-winner. In his final game as a collegian, George became BW's all-time leading tackler with 334. The four-year letterman and team captain as a senior was a two-time All-OAC choice, including as a first-team pick in 2005. He was named as BW's Most Outstanding Linebacker as a junior and the Ray E. Watts Defensive MVP as a senior. He was tabbed as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week (versus John Carroll University) in 2005 and was a second-team All-North Region pick by d3football.com. He also was BW's Most Valuable Player and its representative to the annual Cleveland Touchdown Club football awards dinner in 2005. In the classroom, he was a biology major who carried a 3.7 grade point average and a member of the Dean's List as well as numerous academic honor societies. He was a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, including being one of four unanimous picks as a senior, and received first-team CoSIDA/ ESPN The Magazine honors as a junior and senior. Today, George is married to BW graduate and former cheerleader and cheerleading advisor Samantha Gougler George '06. He is a physicians assistant and anesthesiologist at South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights. The couple have two children.
ANGIE CAMP KALIZEWSKI '07, in just two short seasons, is arguably one of the best volleyball student-athletes to wear the Brown & Gold. She helped BW compile a 48-19 record, win an OAC regular season co-title in 2006 and advance to the OAC Championship match in 2005. Kalizewski had 2,591 set assists in two seasons and averaged more than 10 set assists per match. She also had 268 career kills, 798 defensive digs and 182 total blocks. After transferring to BW from Ashland University in the fall of 1999, she earned two varsity letters, was a team captain as a senior, a two-time first-team All-OAC and first-team Division III All-Great Lakes Regional selection, and was named as the 2006 Shelia Wallace-Kovalchik OAC Volleyball Player of the Year. Kalizewski also was a three-time All-Tournament team selection, a two-time OAC Player of the Week and a two-time Division III All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Today, she teaches in the Norwalk City Schools and is the head volleyball coach at Norwalk High School.
BRYAN KMETZ '07 is one of the top wrestlers ever to compete at BW. Wrestling in the 285-pound weight class, the four-year starter and letterman compiled an outstanding 90-14 record, which ranks 13th all-time in school history. He earned All-American honors with a runner-up finish at the 2007 NCAA Division III National Tournament. He is one of two four-time All-OAC grapplers. Kmetz won two OAC individual titles and was the runner-up twice. He had a career-high 28 wins as a freshman and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Tournament as a junior (23-4 record). Overall, he won six individual tournament titles and placed at 10 tournaments. He also is one of just four BW wrestlers to make it to the NCAA Division III championship match (the other three, Paul Petrella '78, Kevin Higgins '89 and Kelly Keenan '94 are all members of the HOF). Today, Kmetz is a certified personal fitness instructor at the Cleveland Fitness Club.
KIM LUTHMAN '01, MAEd '05 is still involved at BW sixteen years after ending her basketball career. Known as one of the best all-around student-athletes to ever step on the basketball court, Luthman served as an assistant coach and is now a high school teacher and head coach, and she continues to be a part-time building manager at the Lou Higgins Center. In her four years on the varsity, Luthman twice served as a team captain, helped BW compile a 105-12 record, win three OAC regular season championships (1999, 2000 and 2001), capture three OAC Tournament titles (1999, 2000 and 2001), advance to four straight OAC Tournament championship games. She helped the Jackets make consecutive NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances, including an "Elite Eight" run as a senior. Individually, she scored 1,002 career points and still ranks 13th all-time at BW. She also had 416 rebounds, 180 assists, 117 three-pointers and 99 steals. She also was named as a second-team All-OAC and as an honorable mention Academic All-OAC player as a senior (2001). As a sophomore in 1999 and as a junior in 2000, Jones was as an honorable mention All-OAC selection. She also was named to the 1998 Marcia French Invitational all-tournament team and the OAC All-Tournament team in 2000. In 2001, Luthman was named as the OAC Player of the Week (for the Week of January 22). Today, Luthman serves as a high school history teacher and coaches women's basketball at Holy Name High School in Parma.
LOUIE ROLKO '07 is arguably the best all-around men's soccer student-athlete to ever play at BW. The four-time All-OAC player and two-time OAC Midfielder of the Year was both an outstanding offensive and defensive leader. His excellence and leadership at BW led him to careers both in professional soccer and now coaching. Prior to becoming the head men's coach at NCAA Division II Lake Erie College, Rolko served as BW Head Coach Reid Ayers' top assistant for five years. Prior to that, he played for two seasons with the Sioux Falls Spitfire of the US Soccer League Premier Development League (PDL), for three seasons with the Charlestown Battery of the US Soccer League (USL) and three seasons with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL. He also served as a club coach at NEO Soccer and trained a number of BW's current soccer student-athletes. The four-year starter also was a three-time NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Great Lakes honoree, a three-time OSCA (Ohio Soccer Coaches Association) All-Ohio pick, a three-time BW team captain and a two-time BW Most Valuable Player award-winner.
DAVE ROZZO '89 was a team leader on three Bob Fisher-coached baseball teams that advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. He helped lead the team to an 80-72-2 record that included BW having the best OAC regular season record twice and one OAC Tournament title (1985). The two-time first-team All-OAC outfielder and three time All-OAC pick was named to both the OAC and NCAA Division III Regional All-Tournament teams. He also was a multiple OAC Hitter of the Week honoree in 1986 and 1987 and was recognized by USA Today in both 1986 and 1987 as a preseason All-American. Rozzo was a four-year varsity standout and a 1988 team captain who had a .344 career batting average (151 for 439) in 132 career games with 97 runs scored, 34 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 121 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 15 attempts. At the time of his graduation in 1988, he was the all-time leader in base hits and RBIs. Rozzo also was the first player in BW history to hit three home runs in one game and five in a two-game span. He also had the most doubles by a BW player in the 1980s, and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 1986 (60 chances without an error). In addition to playing baseball, Rozzo was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and served as its president in 1988. He was a four-year student assistant in the sports information office. Today, Rozzo is married and is a high school history and mathematics teacher at Saint John High School in Ashtabula. He formerly served as both a coach and athletics director at the school.
JASON SCHEFFT '02 is one of the best men's basketball student-athletes to ever step on the Ursprung Gymnasium floor. The four-year starter and letterman and the 2002 Kenneth Steingass Outstanding Male Athlete was a two-year team captain and the first-ever Yellow Jacket men's basketball player to earn All-OAC honors for four straight years. Schefft also was a two-time NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) All-Great Lakes Region pick, a three-time first-team Academic All-OAC selection (unanimous as a senior) and a three-time CoSIDA-Verizon Academic All-District IV choice. He additionally was named to five All-Tournament teams during his career and was a two-time OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Schefft played in 106 career games and currently stands ninth on the all-time scoring list with 1,559 points. He also had 453 rebounds, 309 assists, 212 three-pointers and 108 steals. He shot 85.2% from the foul line for his career (333 of 391). In the classroom, he carried a 3.5 grade point average and was a Dean's List student. He also served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Today, Schefft resides in Chicago and serves as an Account Executive for Burlington Medical Supplies.
ANDREA ISAAC ZAK '08 is the best women's tennis student-athlete to ever step on the courts at the "Pop" Collins Tennis Facility. She also served as Jack Bethlenfalvy's assistant coach for three years after graduation. Zak was a four-year starter and letter winner and a two-time team captain. She was the first-ever three-time OAC Women's Player of the Year. Zak also was both BW's 2007 Outstanding Senior Female Athlete and the school's 2007 Clyde Lamb Award winner, symbolic of the school's most outstanding student-athlete. She led BW to a 65-30 record, including a school-record 25-3 record as a senior with an OAC title, OAC Tournament title and the school's first-ever NCAA Division III National Tournament berth. Zak is the winningest all-time player in singles (88), doubles (87) and combination (175) wins. She had a combined 175-42 record, including 88-19 in singles and 87-23 in doubles. As a senior, she and teammate Meggie Glassburn '08 set a school doubles record with 29 wins and a 29-5 record. She also was a four-time All-OAC, three-time Academic All-OAC and two-time ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV student-athlete. In the classroom, she carried a 3.4 grade point average and was a Dean's List student. Zak also was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi education and vice president of the Alpha Lambda honor societies. She was the secretary of the sophomore class, served as the student director of health promotions and grant board and as a Summer Orientation and Weekend of Welcome leader. Zak also was a member of the Public Relations Club and the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Today, Zak is married and is a special education and learning disabilities teacher.
