BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University and the Cleveland Clinic are teaming up to host the Sports Medicine Workshop for the Athletic Training Student Aide from July 9-12.

The workshop is designed for high school students interested in gaining athletic training skills. Participants will learn various concepts such as anatomy, medical terminology, injury prevention, basic stretching, spine boarding, athletic training education/college prep, taping, first aid and wound management, evaluation and treatment of upper and lower extremity injuries, aquatic therapy and more.

Each day, students will participate in lectures, demonstrations and laboratory sessions with an emphasis on prevention, recognition and treatment of athletic injuries. Cost of the four-day workshop is $150 and students will receive a T-shirt and camp notebook, which is designed to be an easy reference as the student aides support their schools' athletic programs.

If four or more students from the same school register together, each student will receive $15 off registration. All forms must be sent in together to receive the multiple student discount.
