Media Policies

Approved Identifiers
When referencing Baldwin Wallace University, please use Baldwin Wallace or BW.  The use of BWU is unacceptable.  The athletic teams, should be referred to as the “Yellow Jackets” or “Jackets”. The use of the terms “Lady Yellow Jackets” or “Lady Jackets” is not permitted.

Media Credentials
All media attending Baldwin Wallace University home games are requested to notify the Office of Athletic Communications. Credentials for home games are issued for working media only and should be requested as early as possible. All requests for press credentials,photo passes, and/or space must go through a representative of the BW Office of Athletic Communications. Baldwin Wallace University reserves the right to dismiss a media member to ensure a working press box.

Press Box (Football)
At the completion of each game, a complete statistics packet that includes play-by-play, defensive, individual and team statistics will be distributed to members of the working media. Prior to the game, each media member will be provided with game notes for both teams and a game program. Ethernet lines or wireless are provided.

Student-Athlete & Coach Interviews
The Office of Athletic Communications serves as the main liason between the media and BW’s student-athletes, coaches, and staff members. Media requests for coaches and players following athletic events are subject to a 10-minute cooling off period, per NCAA guidelines. All requests must go through a representative of the BW Office of Athletic Communications, or an approved Baldwin Wallace University representative. Coach and student-athlete contact information will only be provided with permission.

Visiting Radio
Please contact the BW Office of Athletic Communications in advance of the game which you would like to broadcast. One phone line and/or ethernet line will be provided. Wireless access is available.

Photography
Photography is permitted with approved media credentials. Photographers shooting from playing field level must follow all NCAA guidelines concerning in-game athletics photography. Please be advised that photographers assume all risk if entering the playing area of an athletic event. No flash photography is permitted during game play.  To obtain an image for use in a publication, please contact the Office of Athletic Communications.  All images used must be given proper photo credit.
